I dropped off the motorhome chairs at WadeRV which is located in one of the 200+ service bays at LazyDays in Tampa. They said it would take 1-2 weeks to get them re-upholstered. I am hoping that it is done next week as one of my neighbors helped me get them out of the motorhome and is leaving the week after next to go back north. The re-installation would be much easier with his help.

My male Papillon has been having tummy trouble the last few days. It is very unlike him to have an "accident" in the house but a couple of days ago he got us up in the middle of the night twice barking as he needed to go out. When I came home from work on Tuesday, there was poop all over the place. Luckily, he has gone two nights now without incident and was home alone most of the day yesterday without a problem.

My niece is staying at our house this weekend as the wife and I are taking a weekend trip that doesn't involve the motorhome. I sure hope Monty's stomach issue is past since I wouldn't want my niece to have to deal with that!

I hope everyone is doing well.

Today is Pickles birthday she is 11 years old today.

The last couple of weeks she has been coughing more frequently. A few days ago she really had trouble catching her breath. That really scared us. She just finished another round of steroids. Besides the trechea issue she has a slightly enlarged heart. She is on blood pressure medicine as well as an anti inflammatory. She is doing a little better trying to keep her as calm as we can.

Happy Birthday Pickles!

I am still waiting to hear back from the upholstery place. I dropped off my front two seats last Wednesday afternoon and they told me it would be 1-2 weeks to finish. I was hoping to get the seats back by Friday and my "help" will be going back to his northern home next week.

Monty seems back to normal so I guess he just had some type of stomach thing going on. Probably ate something outside he shouldn't have.

Good Morning FOOFs

I got my motorhome chairs back and got them installed. They look nice. For what I paid to get them reupholstered, I sure hope they last longer than the originals. I could have purchased two new chairs for less than I paid for the reupholster job but the new chairs were the same crappy material. I had "ultra leather" installed and they told me 20 years from now they should still be holding up, assuming I take care of the seats. Time will tell.

Monty got over his stomach ailment but now has hurt his leg. He had surgery on his left back leg several years ago. He blew out his knee. He has hurt it again and has been hopping around while holding up his left leg. I think he is getting better as he is now starting to put weight on the left leg but he is limping. We have tile in the house and he really walks with a limp. If he is outside on the grass, he walks fairly well as it doesn't seem to bother him near as much. As long as I see him improving, I won't take him to the vet but if the leg is still bothering him after the weekend, I'll have to get him looked at. He did this a couple of years ago and after 3-4 days he starting walking OK again so I am hoping he has just tweaked the leg somehow. Probably chasing a squirrel outside....

We were going to take the motorhome on a weekend trip this weekend but I have either caught a cold or have a sinus infection. I have sinus problems so it's probably an infection. Have a very sore throat and just feel foggy. It's been bad for the last two days but I am hoping to feel better tomorrow so we can still go. I did take a COVID test just in case and it was negative.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Burch,

Glad to hear you got your seats back and they turned out nice. I am always surprised at the cost of re-upholstering things over the years, it is always about double of what I am expecting.

You should have good luck with the Ultra Leather, we have it in a cream color on all the seating in our TT. It is now eight years old and even with our energetic dog it still looks new. No signs of wear and it cleans easily.

Hope you and Monty get better soon [emoticon]

That's good to hear on the Ultra leather. The next thing to fix is the dinette as that material is coming apart as well. I didn't want to spend the $$$ to get them both done at the same time so I plan on doing the dinette next year. So far, the couch has held up well so hopefully I can get a few more years out of it before I have to do something with it. It's really sad that after spending $$$$ on a brand new motorhome that you have to have seats reupholstered after 5 years.

Monty is doing better. He is walking on the hurt leg now but still has a bit of a limp but each day is making progress.

Me, not so much. Seems like each day my cold/sinus infection is getting worse. It hurts to eat/drink as my throat is really sore. I guess I will have to postpone my weekend trip in the motorhome. I was just planning to hang around the motorhome while I dropped the wife off at the casino. I guess I am going to feel bad whether I stay at home or stay in the motorhome so I guess it doesn't make much difference. I will make a decision later this morning.

I hope everyone has a great day!

You need to get some shots so you will feel better right away. Tequila or Vodka always works for me [emoticon] [emoticon]

It's funny you mention that. My Grandfather didn't drink but he always had some Kentucky Whiskey at his house (he was a farmer in Glasgow Kentucky). A bottle of whiskey would last him many years as he only used it when he got a sore throat. He would take a shot and it would numb his throat for awhile.

I am not much of a liquor drinker but I like Sailor Jerry Rum on the rocks once in awhile. I almost drank a shot before I went to bed last night but didn't. Since today is Friday, that might be the ticket tonight!

I have decided to go ahead and take our trip. It's not far from here (less than 50 miles) and I am going to feel crappy whether I am at the house or in the motorhome. Plus, I haven't left the house since Tuesday morning and I am starting to get sick of being here!

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Burch
