I feel you all, ever since we moved from the Salt Lake City up North to St. George Utah down South where there is no snow we haven't travelled to Yuma or Quartzsite the past few years. Now with this COVID going on I don't know when we will travel again. Check out the RV Park prices, they have really gone up. Even Propane has gone crazy.

Alas, we too are stuck at home this snowbird season.[emoticon] At 40* currently, we are not quite as frigid as some of you, but we do have some winter weather moving into the STL this weekend.

I feel bad for all of you northerners. We just had a cold front come through and it's currently 64 degrees. Supposed to reach the mid 70s today for a high with sunshine all day. I love living in Florida! [emoticon]

I agree during the winter, late spring, summer and early fall not so much.

Spring and fall around here are about as good as it gets, and many summer days are tolerable. Winter used to be OK, but as I aged everything hurts more and it's just plain hard to accomplish necessary tasks (like walking the dogs!!).

I will take the hot and humid summers over the cold any day. Since I have spent my whole life in Florida, it used to be nice to be in the cold weather sometimes. The first couple of times I saw snow, I was excited. Then I got a job where I had to travel quite a bit up north. Got caught in a snow storm in upstate NY about 20 years ago. Since then, the thought of snow and cold gives me a headache. I guess I have grown used to the hot summers in Florida. When it's below 60 degrees, I am freezing! I guess I am getting old now....

I sure miss this thread, I used to read it every morning when I was working. I also hate the cold. Be thankful you all don't have 6 horses and 5 dogs to take care of in the cold. I really understand why older people move to FL & AZ. Even my northern cold loving husband is starting to hate it as he get older.

We do have a reservation to head to N FL in February with 2 of the horses & 2 dogs for a couple of weeks. Sure hope all goes well and we get to make the trip.

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year.

I hope those of you up North are keeping warm. The high here in West Central Florida is only going to be 50 on Saturday and Sunday and a hard freeze warning in the counties just North of me. I had frost on the ground Monday morning.

Monty had surgery to remove a growth from his left paw. It's been bugging him for some time. He will just lick and chew on it all the time. While they had him under, they cleaned his teeth. He had two really bad teeth that were rotten. Poor guy, he most have been in a lot of discomfort with the way his teeth were. He is feeling much better and he likes the cold weather. He gets wound up and full of energy when it is cool out. I love him to death but he is getting old. He is 11 1/2 years old but is still beautiful and he acts like a two year old.

We caught a break. Called St. Augustine and they had a cancellation for 5 weeks at Compass RV park.
So we booked it. Scheduled to leave Friday February 4th. Hopefully nothing will happen from now until then.
We are good until March 12th hopefully we can find something.
Maybe some snowbirds will start heading north.
