We made it home. It was a 1200 mile round trip. We really had a good time and are thinking about doing the same trip next year. ZuZu did great on her first long trip. She is going to be a good traveler. The other two dogs are used to the traveling and did fine. The only issue with ZuZu is getting her to do her business. She doesn't want to go when you walk her. After being at a location a day or two, she starts going but then when you get to the next destination, she doesn't want to go again for a few days. I am sure she will get better as she travels more. She is a very smart girl.

Here she is enjoying her first Memorial Day.

She is so sweet. I am so glad we got her.

What a sweetie, Burch. Glad you made it home safely and had a great trip. I just arrived in Charlottesville, VA, to visit with my daughter and family. I'm here for 6 nights, then to northern Indiana to get the refrigerator swapped out for one that works. I'm doing okay using it as an icebox, but will be glad to have a fridge again. Everything else is working well.

Also, my BIL is in the hospital. I don't think he's going to make it. He's in kidney failure and they are doing dialysis today. Depending on what they learn from the biopsy he can elect to continue dialysis or hospice. He has so many problems, starting with only being a half person. Nothing from the hips down. All his drinking and smoking led to a AAA which ruptured and by the time the ER doctors realized what had happened it was too late to take him to a larger hospital with a heart center. So they clamped off the arteries to his legs and fixed the aneurysm, but he lost his legs. That was only the start of all his myriad of problems, but he has lived 20 years since then. Knowing him, he will want them to pull out all the stops to keep him going. He has two wonderful daughters with families (my sister died at age 30) in spite of his lack of parenthood. . . longer story there. I will go for the girls.

My daughter's MIL is coming today and we are taking the kids to dinner for our grandson's birthday. Then she is staying with me in the motorhome. It will be crowded, but it will be fun. She stayed with me at this camp when Terry died, but I had the 40' Phaeton then!

This Coach House motorhome draws a lot of attention. People are very curious about it. Don't see many of them. But in the KOA right now there are a bunch of B's and B+'s. We kind of have a little camaraderie going.

LOL

I got it fixed by getting a new one! The track record on that particular fridge was not good. Glen said it was Dometic's experiment with helium and it didn't work well in hot weather and just quit a lot of times.

I bought a scratch and dent (can't tell) Norcold 4150 which slid into the same space with no alteration. The cost for the fridge, the door kit (had them switch from right to left open), install plus remove and dispose of the old one was $1008. It's running like a champ! Had it done at National RV Refrigeration in Shipshewana, Indiana. They did one for us 3 years ago in the Phaeton. Couldn't be happier!

Hello FOOFs

Tuesday was a big day. My Papillon Monty had his 13th birthday. I always thought he would go first (before Lola who died last November. His sister). He is way too big to be a Papillon. He is very handsome and still looks and gets along great. I love him so much! He is my buddy.

Here is a picture of the birthday boy (with his little brother Pinto) from this past weekend. We took a weekend trip to St. Pete.

Good morning FOOF’s. Hope everyone is doing well.

We just returned from a 10 day trip to Pigeon Forge, TN. We stayed at the KOA by Dollywood. Closer to all the action.

The trip brought back a lot of good memories. We really miss the Rally’s. We saw a few bears, Elk, Deer. The most animals we ever saw during all of our visits.

A lot has changed since our last visit there.

Pickles did fine on the trip but when we got back home she is really tired. She is sleeping a lot, very deep sleep. Her appetite for her regular food has diminished. Don’t know if all of this is related to her issues or what.
We are watching her very closely.

I hope Pickles gets better. My little Pomeranian ZuZu is sick. She has an upset stomach. Started yesterday afternoon. She puked 3 or 4 times and doesn't want to eat anything. She puked one time overnight and when I took her out this morning, she wouldn't eat her treat. I am working in Tampa today (about an hour drive from home) but I am going to try and finish up so I can leave at lunchtime to go home and check on her. I hate it when one of my dogs isn't feeling well.

Burch we feel the same way. Pickles is our little Baby Girl. She has health issues that she will never recover from. Every dog we have had we get so attached to them. We love them as much as we love our children.
