Be well, Burch. My one of my friends in Indiana, my BFF actually, started having eye problems last week. Had a badly detached retina and had emergency surgery on Friday. It went well, but they had to stay in a hotel for 2 nights due to the impending storm up there. She is back home now and healing. At least being retired, she didn't have a lot of responsibilities but I think it would still be hard around the holidays as I don't know if she is even able to do anything. She has a wonderful husband so she is getting good care, but it was scary. She could have gone blind in that eye.

I am thankful for all my friends here and there and that I have my daughter and family visiting. We are going to my son's. First time in prolly 20 years we have been together for a holiday.

Merry Christmas to all my fellow FOOFs. May you all be blessed and experience good health this coming year.

Merry Christmas to all!!

We dodged most of the snow (only got about 6") but the wind and cold were profound. We did get above 0 yesterday and it's a veritable heat wave today at 8.

I feel for the people of north central IN, western Michigan, northern Ohio and western NY where the lake effect snow has dumped feet of snow along with the cold.

The only positive is that the dogs know to do their business quickly or else their feet start to hurt.

ZuZu had a great first Christmas. She loved all of the kids and visitors and everyone loved her. She passed out on her doggie bed around 8pm. She almost blends in to the bed as the color is close to hers.

Good afternoon FOOFs

Hope everyone had a good new years. I am still fighting some type of respiratory infection. It gets better and then hits me hard again. I am on my 2nd round of antibiotics now. I can't believe how much crud I am coughing out of my lungs. Nasty stuff. I don't really feel bad (no fever, body aches, sore throat) but I am so fatigued from this crud in my throat/lungs. Just walking across the floor tires me out. Hopefully this round of meds will do the trick. I have been sick since December 4th and I am really tired of it!

ZuZu continues to melt our hearts. She is a sweet thing and is really smart. I can't believe how much she has grown! She is starting to get used to our routine, however me being sick and home all the time is going to probably confuse her when I have to start working in the office again.

I hope everyone has a great 2023!

I am feeling better today. Yesterday was my 52nd birthday and we were supposed to go out last night for dinner but we stayed home instead. I just chilled at the house with the doggies. Still coughing and blowing my nose by much better compared to this time last week.

ZuZu continues to grow and melt our hearts. She loves Pinto (our chihuahua). She jumps all over him and he just gets mad. I think he is starting to come around because last night ZuZu and Pinto were playing tug of war with a toy. Of course when I got my phone to take a video, they dropped the toy and just looked at me. That always seems to happen when I try to take a cute picture or video.

Pickles is having dental done today as well as removing a skin tag on the back of her neck.

We are a little worried about her being under. She has been diagnosed with enlarged heart and fluid around her heart. Her white blood cell count is a little high. Our Vet thinks it is due to her teeth.

Our Vet felt strongly that we should go ahead with the dental so we are but will be worried until we get her back home.
