This is not a dog related post, but, in the spirt of Old Fella, if you all can possibly say a prayer for our family’s feline that went missing Sunday night, her canine sister and human pack would greatly appreciate it!!!

Sadly, she wasn’t chipped nor collared, so there is no identifying information relating her to us. (She was a barn cat that was born to strays left off in the neighborhood that adopted us…she came in one day 11 years ago through the dog door and never left. She moved with us 7 years ago to the current location we are residing.)

She has never been gone more than a day and it’s now been 5 days now. She is neutered also, so not lie she would be out for that reason either….

Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well!

PS- Is Waynesboro the town located in VA? Just curious which state we are referring to for the Old Fella pilgrimage….

Happy National Dog Day!!! I have 5 dogs that pretty much run the place around here. I'm blessed to live on a small farm with horses and a few cats.

My "littles" travel with us as we trail ride all over the country. The 3 big dogs stay home and help my grown kids who live down the road take care of the place.

I miss Richard and his beautiful stories, always enjoyed them over my coffee.

RIAH I sure hope the cat comes home.

Happy Dog Day!!!

I didn’t know that. I thought it was August (Dogust) first.

Riah,
Longshot, but see if you have any local Facebook pages. Post there. Also contact the nearby pet shelters. Hope you find the "meow".

So over the weekend our daughter visited us from up North and brought along not only her two dogs but also a Labradoodle she got from someone who didn't want him. His name is Noodles and when he first meets any man he is really scared, but he loves women. It has taken a few days for him to settle down with me after I walk him and hug him a lot. He now just hangs out with me. Such a sweet dog, I just can't imagine anyone being mean to this puppy. It is going to be a little hard for me to keep him since I'm use to Shih Tzu's and other small dogs. We've been told he is 10 months old, but he is already 24" tall. We are trying to find out what shots he has had before I take him to my Vet and then to a groomer. Love the white hair with patches of light brown and also the fact that he doesn't shed. I have never seen a dog this size that is so mellow, is this common in these mixed breeds?

SGTJOE, in my experience Standard poodles are usually pretty chill compared to the other sizes. Labs can be. The fear of men doesn't necessarily mean that there was mistreatment, but his history certainly is suspect. Sounds like you have a good match, and your patience has given him an opportunity to develop.

My son has a golden doodle, Lily, and she is as sweet as she comes. I just wish they would do some training because I cannot walk her. They have a fenced yard, so I don't have to walk her when I babysit. But she is a sweetie and so good to my granddaughter and loves my dog too.
