We went to that Strawberry festival a few years ago, we were staying in Crystal River. It was fantastic!! The very best strawberry shortcake I've ever had in my life.

Garland and I will attest to that as well! We are hoping to get back to that area again one day. The last two years we have only had the camper out twice, both times a short distance away and only for two or three days. We both yearn for the good old days.

Hello FOOFs

Been a long time since the last post. Richard told me before he passed to keep the this thread going. I hope everyone is doing OK.

The wife and I are going on a quick weekend trip to Palm Harbor Florida this weekend. I have a snowbird friend of mine that lives there and he is heading back North in mid April. We are going to see him and then wander around the Tarpon Springs sponge docks and maybe go to the farmers market in Dunedin. I am going to try and drive as slow as I can so I don't burn too much fuel!

My dogs are doing fine. I have been walking Monty every other day. I have been on a diet (lost 23lbs so far!) and I have been walking between 3-5 miles a day. I do a fast paced walk and then the days I walk Monty I take a separate walk by myself and then take Monty on a walk where I let him dictate the walking pace. He still gets around great but he is getting old and I don't want to over do it.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Good Day FOOFs,

In the interest of keeping the thread going, if I may, I will chime in once in a while. I always wanted to say something this winter when all of you were sharing the great snow stories but I felt guilty always being in the seventies and eighties on the left coast.

I started on RV.Net in 2003 under a different moniker and had a few PM's with Richard, never attended any rally's, but always felt like part of the group. I was fortunate to get a couple bricks with the Old Fella Statue in the park years and years ago.

So, Birch, how did the re-upholstering of the seats go? I know any project is a major hassle and takes twice as long as it should and costs three times what you think it would be [emoticon]

Also, Birch, you have not mentioned any problems with your doggy's glands in a long time so you must have gotten that under control? I ask because I had that problem with two dogs and it was awful to deal with and could get very serious and expensive.......

23 pounds, WOW [emoticon][emoticon][emoticon]

FYI, Gas here is about $6 a gallon and diesel is a little more [emoticon]

I've been doing some work on my little motorhome. I bought a rubber wheel and took the decals off. That went well. Then I ordered new decals. They are exactly like the old ones, including size, etc. I haven't put them on yet. The stripes on the motorhome were still good after all these years. It was the manufacturer logos that were cracked and peeling. I would leave them off, but you can see the shadow. I also had new fabric put on the awning. The other was shot and we had taped it up thinking we would never do anything else, but I have wanted the awning a time or two in this hot Florida sun, so I had that done. She looks about new now!

Hope all are doing well.

I still check in once in awhile on here to see what all the FOOFs are doing.

Pickles has issues with her glands as well. About every 2 to 3 months she gets very stressed. She will not relax and stares off into space.

We have tried all kinds of things. I am giving her a gland X chew now. It appears to be helping. Just hope I am not speaking to soon. Going on 10 weeks now since she had it done.

I have to give her a pill everyday for her trachea so I hide in the gland x chew. It has been working out well so far.

I haven't done the re-upholstering yet. It is scheduled for April 6th. I have to get the front chairs out of the motorhome next weekend.

Since Pinto's surgery, he hasn't had anymore gland problems. I have my fingers crossed that he doesn't have issues again.
