I understand and endorse the ban on political posts and threads. Having said that, why does the site hava an ad from the Democratic National Colmmittee encouraging us to call our congress persons and ask them to pass a health care bill that 58% of the country does not want? This seems like hypocrisy to me

This ad only appears political if you disagee with it. If you agree then it's only a public service announcement. Who would be against that? HMMMM? POV.

Money speaks and therefore whoever has it has total control. He who has the Gold makes the rules I guess. That's why I rarely ever read things here anymore. I just happened to look here today. Otherwise I'd be looking at Infowars.com.

It is the nature of Google ads. We don't choose the ads nor know what they will be beforehand.
We can block them. We have in the past and will continue to do so. But you will have to provide us the Domain. Right-click on the add, get the URL and paste it here.

As stated above, we will need the domain of the ad. It is the nature of Google ads that we will not all see the same ad on the same page at the same time. I followed your link, although I had ads, the Obama ad wasn't there.
Please right-click on the ad, copy the link and paste it here. A URL to a forum page will not work, generally.
I have reported that the ads are appearing, and will continue to look for them. But without the domain, we can't block them.
